Samurai Striping

Overview
Project summary
A pavement maintenance site for a Mid-Michigan contractor where the quote is calculated on the page, with separate estimators for homeowners and commercial property managers.
Case study details
- The problem
- Pavement contractors quote by callback — a customer submits a contact form, waits a day, and books whoever responds first. Two very different buyers needed pricing: a homeowner with one driveway, and a property manager with a 300-stall lot.
- Our approach
- We built a React and Vite front end with two estimators over a shared calculation layer. Residential prices from square footage with a length × width helper, coat count, pressure washing, and crack filling. Commercial itemizes stalls, handicap and oversized spaces, fire lanes, crosswalks, curb footage, bollards, signs, and bumper blocks into a running project total.
- The outcome
- Both estimators are live and total in real time, with no deposit or card details required to get a number. Requests reach the owner already priced, turning the first phone call into a scheduling call rather than a discovery one.
